Arash Hejazi’s Interview with the Io Donna on The Gaze of the Gazelle [English/Italian]
My name is Arash Hejazi. I am is a British-Iranian novelist, memoirist and publisher whose fiction draws on Persian mythology to explore the choices people make under the pressure of love, grief and power. I am the author of the Persian-language novels The Princess of the Land of Eternity, Grief of the Moon and Kay Khusro, and the English novel Only the Arrow Does Not Die. My memoir, The Gaze of the Gazelle, was published in English, German, Swedish and Italian. I was forced into exile after giving eyewitness testimony about the killing of Neda Agha-Soltan during Iran’s 2009 protests.
